Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) John Paul Leeson made the kick off and thus started the match. Jez Locke made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 3rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Rowan Cross would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Victoria United's goalkeeper Rowan Cross, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Andre Thompson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes, Victoria United's Daryl Mills shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Crispin Hayward came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Victoria United reached it. When STAC XI's Victor Sargent in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Victoria United's goalie prevented a goal. Austin Leadbeater lost his temper 15 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 15th minute, one of Victoria United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Victoria United. The goalkeeper, Rowan Cross, was totally fooled by STAC XI's Spike Hellen, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Jo Maloney fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Victoria United's protests and gave Jo Maloney a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Victoria United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Maloney to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Spike Hellen got free with Rowan Cross in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 24th minute of the match Andre Thompson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Andre Thompson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, STAC XI's Andre Thompson got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Victoria United booed when STAC XI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Purkiss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rowan Cross didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jez Locke went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of STAC XI booed when Victoria United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Shotton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Jez Locke notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Victoria United's Rowan Cross. Rowan Cross was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jez Locke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Cross having to interfere. Victor Sargent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jez Locke struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Rowan Cross didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STAC XI. Archie Gilchrist charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Archie Gilchrist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Victoria United's Archie Gilchrist got a free kick in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jez Locke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. STAC XI were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Victoria United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Spike Hellen took the corner. STAC XI's Spike Hellen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rowan Cross in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Victor Sargent kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ozzy Burrows fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crispin Hayward having to interfere. Jez Locke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the game, STAC XI's Wally Purkiss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rowan Cross made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Jez Locke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rowan Cross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Sargent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Cross having to interfere. The supporters of STAC XI booed when Victoria United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Shotton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Sargent took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rowan Cross. Victoria United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of STAC XI booed when Victoria United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Gilchrist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jez Locke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Cross having to interfere. Victor Sargent hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Jez Locke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Seth Short managed to get in a good position for a shot. STAC XI's supporters rose to their feet, but Seth Short was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rowan Cross breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Victoria United defense, Jez Locke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rowan Cross. The Victoria United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rowan Cross should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Victoria United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! The audience was convinced that Spike Hellen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowan Cross was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Spike Hellen sped through Victoria United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rowan Cross. Jez Locke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Cross having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Victor Sargent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STAC XI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Sargent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jez Locke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that STAC XI were the better team. STAC XI's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
