An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Carey in the 27th minute of play forced Salford FC's goalkeeper Rueben Hanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ralph Carey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rueben Hanson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Carey in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Salford FC booed when Wanlip AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Carey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th match minute, Wanlip AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joe Lobb to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 90 minutes, Shawn Brookes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salford FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shawn Brookes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
