The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Culcheth City booed when Seaham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nial Collingwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lloyd Green hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes Culcheth City got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Wroe. 8 minutes into the game, Oliver Wroe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Culcheth City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seaham AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Culcheth City's Oliver Wroe got a free kick in the 9th minute. Michael Newman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Al Buxton having to make a save. If Bob Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bob Gray's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Al Buxton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bob Gray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Al Buxton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Seaham AFC's Michael Newman got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seaham AFC's Bob Gray got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Al Buxton made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Bob Gray sent off a good shot on target. Oliver Wroe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Paul Broom having to interfere. A collision led to Seaham AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Andre Jeffrey hit a great ball. Al Buxton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bob Gray in the 39th minute. If Michael Newman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Culcheth City's Denis Bradfield got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Franz Conway struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Al Buxton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seaham AFC. Bob Grays short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Al Buxton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Newman to strike the kick off in the second half. When Oliver Wroe was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. In the 53rd match minute, Culcheth City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Wroe to maneuver through the defense. Al Buxton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Gray in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Franz Conway got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lloyd Green's late challenge caught a Seaham AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lloyd Green helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Lloyd Green hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bob Gray took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Al Buxton. Al Buxton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Al Buxton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Gray in the 66th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Bob Gray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Buxton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Al Buxton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Gray in the 74th minute of play. Franz Conway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Al Buxton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bob Gray struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Al Buxton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seaham AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob Gray in the 83rd minute of play forced Culcheth City's goalkeeper Al Buxton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dave Currie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Al Buxton was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Bob Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Buxton having to interfere.
