Phil Lincoln struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Dylan Cheswick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ®. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Collier during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Blair Niven left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The South Benfleet United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With an all-out effort, ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ®'s Dylan Cheswick threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guy Whittingham, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jay Parkinsons short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Dylan Cheswick to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dylan Cheswick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Green, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Green in the 31st minute of play forced South Benfleet United's goalkeeper Dylan Cheswick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Chiverton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Power, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Tristram Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Chiverton having to interfere. When Ed Power came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the South Benfleet United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Power couldn't finish the play. When Blair Niven fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Benfleet United's protests and gave Blair Niven a yellow card for diving instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 54th minute, South Benfleet United's Ed Power dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 62nd minute of the match, Blair Niven got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Chiverton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 70th match minute, ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Summerfield to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Nath Ryder in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by South Benfleet United's Jonathan Harban. Jay Parkinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blair Niven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute Richard Green shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylan Cheswick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute of the game Giles Lobb made a throw-in which Guy Whittingham played forward. Brendon Haxby lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in South Benfleet United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Michael Gamble's late challenge caught a South Benfleet United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Gamble helped the player get up and apologised. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
