Owen Sawbridge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Kris Potterton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simeon Washington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nath Kidd during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Earle got a freekick which was hit by Nath Kidd. In the 46th minute, Alec Wray made a precise shot to the right of Owen Sawbridge. parkgate fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rio Rockett was the one to do the kick off. Owen Sawbridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alec Wray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kris Potterton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kris Potterton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Simeon Washington when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Alec Wray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Earle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 68 minutes into the match, parkgate fc's goal looked a bit too open when Alec Wray came free, but Owen Sawbridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Owen Sawbridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Rockett in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Earle's zone, Eric Clarke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simeon Washington came out of the goal and Eric Clarke tried to chip the ball over his head. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Dixon couldn't finish the play. Simeon Washington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Clarke's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
