In the 12th minute Rio Forster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan Dransfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wetheringsett Athletic's Sonny Driver got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ryan Dransfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Forster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 19 minutes, Martyn Christensen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berwick Upon Tweed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Christensen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rio Forster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th match minute, Wetheringsett Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Mimms to maneuver through the defense. Martyn Christensen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ryan Dransfield made a huge save. Wetheringsett Athletic's Ryan Dransfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rio Forster in the 29th minute of play. Ryan Dransfield didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 34th minute of the match Lenny Burns shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnny Slater showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ryan Dransfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ryan Dransfield made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Martyn Christensen sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Max Batty stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ryan Dransfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martyn Christensen in the 64th minute of the match. When Berwick Upon Tweed's Rio Forster in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wetheringsett Athletic's goalie prevented a goal. Rio Forster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 minutes, Den Woodyat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wetheringsett Athletic and the Berwick Upon Tweed players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Den Woodyat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Rio Forster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan Dransfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berwick Upon Tweed were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Wetheringsett Athletic's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kurt Farmer took the corner. The corner ended in Kurt Farmer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wetheringsett Athletic's Ryan Dransfield did a great save. After a rather tough play, Berwick Upon Tweed's Ken Waite got a free kick in the 94th minute. Max Batty succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1.
