Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damien Caine started the match with the kick off. Dale Downing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dale Downing kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nigel Messenger. That made the score 1-1 in the 10 minute of play. Pedro Bayford hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Damien Caine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shawn Callery came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Shepton Mallet's Damien Caine. But to his dismay, Damien Caine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Shepton Mallet's Marek Cadwallader in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Totley City's goalie prevented a goal. Shawn Callery didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marek Cadwallader went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Damien Caine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, Damien Caine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Shawn Callery was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eric Caton kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Nigel Messenger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sid Wills. Marek Cadwallader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Callery having to interfere. Dom Perryman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Nigel Messenger made a huge save. The Totley City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Shepton Mallet were winning 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dale Downing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chaz Wicks hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Dom Perryman struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Nigel Messenger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Totley City. In the 55th match minute, Shepton Mallet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Wray to maneuver through the defense. Totley City's Shawn Callery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Totley City from getting a goal against them. In the 63rdth minute of the game Dale Downing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shepton Mallet's Nigel Messenger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Dom Perryman sped through Shepton Mallet's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nigel Messenger. 69 minutes into the game, Allan Avery was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shepton Mallet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Totley City the free kick. Allan Avery kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Dom Perryman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute of the match Blair Bibby sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nigel Messenger skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Marek Cadwallader managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shepton Mallet's supporters rose to their feet, but Marek Cadwallader was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shawn Callery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Totley City's Dale Downing in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shepton Mallet's goalie prevented a goal. If Damien Caine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Shepton Mallet's Marek Cadwallader stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Shawn Callery stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Totley City of the goal. Damien Caine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marek Cadwallader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Shepton Mallet walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
