An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Bowland in the 24th minute of play forced Shepton Mallet's goalkeeper Nigel Messenger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnathan Cousins came out of the goal and Damien Caine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Stony Stratford FC booed when Shepton Mallet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Cadwallader didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Bowland in the 80th minute of play forced Shepton Mallet's goalkeeper Nigel Messenger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
