Spectators: 7473 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rio Forster started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, RKS RAKÓW 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Forster came free, but Alastair Tabb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RKS RAKÓW 1921's zone, Martyn Christensen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alastair Tabb came out of the goal and Martyn Christensen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Anselmo Pallini came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the RKS RAKÓW 1921 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Pallini couldn't finish the play. If Rio Forster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alastair Tabb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martyn Christensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Slater showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Pallini, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Alastair Tabb stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rio Forster's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Anselmo Pallini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Slater saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Anselmo Pallini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rio Forster came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Berwick Upon Tweed fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rio Forster couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Pallini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martyn Christensen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Alastair Tabb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RKS RAKÓW 1921's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Rio Forster scored to the left of an out of position Alastair Tabb, making the score, 0-2. In the 59thth minute of the game Rio Forster who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RKS RAKÓW 1921's Alastair Tabb was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Martyn Christensen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alastair Tabb. RKS RAKÓW 1921's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martyn Christensen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Huey Hayles during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of RKS RAKÓW 1921 booed when Berwick Upon Tweed was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huey Hayles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martyn Christensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Tabb having to interfere. Alastair Tabb made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Rio Forster sent off a good shot on target. Quentin Lappin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Martyn Christensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Martyn Christensen came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Berwick Upon Tweed fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martyn Christensen couldn't finish the play. After 77 minutes, Quentin Lappin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RKS RAKÓW 1921 and the Berwick Upon Tweed players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Josh Blackwell fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RKS RAKÓW 1921's protests and gave Josh Blackwell a yellow card for diving instead. Josh Blackwell hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Berwick Upon Tweed's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
