Dom Perryman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Johnathan Cousins made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Fitter in the 7th minute of play forced Totley City's goalkeeper Shawn Callery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Downing in the 8th minute of play forced Stony Stratford FC's goalkeeper Johnathan Cousins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dale Downing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnathan Cousins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Nicky Fitter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Callery having to interfere. Johnathan Cousins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Downing in the 19th minute of the match. Totley City's Dom Perryman came free and shot a quick shot against goal 23 minutes in the game, fortunately Johnathan Cousins had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Len Bowland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Callery having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Totley City's zone, Nicky Fitter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shawn Callery came out of the goal and Nicky Fitter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Dale Downing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Totley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Dale Downing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnathan Cousins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Len Bowland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shawn Callery. Totley City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Len Bowland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Len Bowland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Callery having to interfere. Totley City's Shawn Callery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Fitter in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Totley City's goal looked a bit too open when Len Bowland came free, but Shawn Callery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicky Fitter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Len Bowland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stony Stratford FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Johnathan Cousins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Downing in the 53rd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Len Bowland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shawn Callery. Totley City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Len Bowland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Nicky Fitter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Totley City's Shawn Callery got control of the ball when Nicky Fitter tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Dom Perryman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stony Stratford FC's Johnathan Cousins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nicky Fitter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Shawn Callery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Totley City getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tim Bonds hit a great ball. Stony Stratford FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
