Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Darius Barnett kicked off to start the match. Kurt Fenton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6thth minute of the game Jordan Anson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ellul FC's Owen Garforth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ellul FC booed when Mighty Minstermen - Leeds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Adamson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ellul FC's Reg Hazledine slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Allan Whittingham. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. When Kurt Fenton came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ellul FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Fenton couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's Geoff Dines got a free kick in the 21st minute. Allan Whittingham acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 22nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dale Walker. When Kurt Fenton came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ellul FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Bowen in the 31st minute of play forced Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's goalkeeper Allan Whittingham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jordan Anson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Geoff Dines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kurt Fenton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Fenton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Fenton was the one to do the kick off. Kurt Fenton kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's Jordan Anson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Geoff Dines got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's Geoff Dines got a free kick in the 59th minute. Kurt Fenton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Allan Whittingham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hugh Blunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Fenton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Hugh Blunt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Allan Whittingham. Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugh Blunt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 72nd minute, Dennis Bowen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Kurt Fenton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Fenton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Hugh Blunt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Allan Whittingham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kurt Fenton might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allan Whittingham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Fenton ran back to his position shaking his head. The Ellul FC fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Ellul FC's Kurt Fenton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 88th minute Hugh Blunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Whittingham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 played minutes Mighty Minstermen - Leeds got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Adamson. Ellul FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dale Walker took the corner. In the 93rd minute, Hugh Blunt made a precise shot to the right of Allan Whittingham. Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ellul FC had played much better football throughout.
