The crowd rose to their feet as Darius Barnett kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Russell Robinson. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. In the 10th minute, Reggie Hamilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Russell Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius Barnett, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Jordan Anson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Russell Robinson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 21st minute Darius Barnett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russell Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's Jordan Anson got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mick Sheppard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mick Sheppard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Darius Barnett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russell Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Kenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone Crouch to maneuver through the defense. Russell Robinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Barnett in the 33rd minute of the match. Jordan Anson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Russell Robinson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jordan Anson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Russell Robinson came out and tried to block the shot, but Jordan Anson slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 39th minute. After 43 played minutes Darius Barnett rounded Kenton's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mick Sheppard to strike the kick off in the second half. Kenton's Russell Robinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordan Anson in the 53rd minute of play. Mick Sheppard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Whittingham having to interfere. Russell Robinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordan Anson in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Harry Milner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kenton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mighty Minstermen - Leeds the free kick. In the 60th minute, Harry Milner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kieran Marchant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Russell Robinson. Kenton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Harry Milner kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Jordan Anson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tristan Hook kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Russell Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darius Barnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Russell Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darius Barnett in the 68th minute of play. Russell Robinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Adamson in the 71st minute of the match. If Geoff Dines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordan Anson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Russell Robinson having to make a save. Kenton's Mick Sheppard got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jordan Anson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mighty Minstermen - Leeds's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
