In the 38th minute, Princess FC's Stu Thompson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Kenton's Russell Robinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glen Callery in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Glen Callery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Princess FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glen Callery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bob Milner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Russell Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
