Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Phil McGrath took the kick off in the first half of the match. Orson Clemence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryan Kinsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Al Gardner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Al Gardner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Kinsey in the 14th minute of the match. Ken Fuller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Howard Lovell made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ryan Kinsey in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Al Gardner saved Horsham AFC from getting behind. Marty Blake kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Liam Morrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Al Gardner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryan Kinsey went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Liam Morrell kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ryan Kinsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Gardner having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graham Draper during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Graham Draper kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Chorley Grosvenor were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ryan Kinsey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Phil McGrath's late challenge caught a Chorley Grosvenor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phil McGrath helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chorley Grosvenor booed when Horsham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phil McGrath didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Ryan Kinsey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Al Gardner. Ryan Kinsey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Horsham AFC's zone, Ryan Kinsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Al Gardner came out of the goal and Ryan Kinsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Horsham AFC's Al Gardner got control of the ball when Jack Hogg tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ryan Kinsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Horsham AFC's Ken Fuller got a free kick in the 74th minute. Orson Clemence charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orson Clemence the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Ryan Kinsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ryan Kinsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Ryan Kinsey took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Al Gardner to make any attempt to save it. Chorley Grosvenor's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
