The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Waple got free with Philip Fitter in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dale York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Don Firth notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Karpaty Krosno's Chaz Fitzgerald. Chaz Fitzgerald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the match, Alfred Carragher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chaz Fitzgerald. Karpaty Krosno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Carragher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 23 played minutes Wisła 1906 Kraków got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Carragher. Dale York struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Philip Fitter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karpaty Krosno. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Russell Haxby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Philip Fitter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale York, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Russell Haxby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Philip Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philip Fitter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Waple in the 68th minute of play. Philip Fitter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale York, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Karpaty Krosno's Dale York sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philip Fitter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, one of Karpaty Krosno:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Karpaty Krosno. When Russell Haxby came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Karpaty Krosno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russell Haxby couldn't finish the play. Dale York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Waple recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dale York received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Philip Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Karpaty Krosno manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Wisła 1906 Kraków to win.
