Howard Lovell made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Will Corrigan sent off a good shot on target. Ivan Tolley hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Moseley City's Dave King shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Howard Lovell but with some difficulty. 33 minutes into the match, Moseley City's Will Corrigan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Howard Lovell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Howard Faith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Kinsey in the 36th minute of play. Howard Faith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Kinsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes, Frankie Armstrong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moseley City and the Chorley Grosvenor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Howard Faith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Hogg, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rex Metcalf was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Will Corrigan put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Howard Lovell. Rex Metcalf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Gaz Beecham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chorley Grosvenor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moseley City the free kick. Ryan Kinsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Howard Faith having to interfere. A collision led to Chorley Grosvenor getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Orson Clemence hit a great ball. Will Corrigan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Howard Lovell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Chorley Grosvenor's Howard Lovell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwyn Dry in the 70th minute of play. Will Corrigan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marty Blake's late challenge caught a Moseley City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marty Blake helped the player get up and apologised. Rex Metcalf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ryan Kinsey came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Chorley Grosvenor fans jumped to their feet.
