Spectators: 7356 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donny Garnett got the match started through his kick off. Ollie Kearney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Garnett in the 6th minute of play. Rob Chambers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Moorhouse in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ollie Kearney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ollie Kearney came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Oakham United's Donny Garnett. But to his dismay, Donny Garnett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Frank Moorhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Kearney having to interfere. Donny Garnett might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ollie Kearney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donny Garnett ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 33 minutes, Donny Garnett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oakham United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donny Garnett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donny Garnett struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ollie Kearney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakham United. Frank Moorhouse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ollie Kearney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Spurs27's goal looked a bit too open when Donny Garnett came free, but Ollie Kearney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Spurs27's goalkeeper Ollie Kearney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Donny Garnett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Kearney having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Josh Ploughman kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When Ronan Bowler fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oakham United's protests and gave Ronan Bowler a yellow card for diving instead. Ronan Bowler hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Frank Moorhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Kearney having to interfere. When Oakham United's Donny Garnett in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Spurs27's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Oakham United getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dom Lowe hit a great ball. Ollie Kearney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donny Garnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Oakham United's Donny Garnett ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ollie Kearney. Ollie Kearney yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 92nd match minute, Spurs27 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Hicks to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Spurs27's Ollie Kearney got control of the ball when Frank Moorhouse tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Spurs27's Fred Hicks got a free kick in the 95th minute. Oakham United's Joshua Moxon broke free in the 96th minute of the match and struck a powerful long shot that almost became a goal, but instead the ball went outside the right post. An obvious chance of a goal. When the match was over Oakham United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Spurs27 throughout the match.
