Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jerry Storry kicked off to start the match. After 5 played minutes Hurst Green got a freekick which was hit by Johnathan Appleton. After a defensive mix-up in Kingswear's zone, Jerry Storry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Den Granger came out of the goal and Jerry Storry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Chesney Courtney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hurst Green booed when Kingswear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Barr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hurst Green's Zane Colley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Amos in the 28th minute of play. Kingswear's Leroy Archer got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Amos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zane Colley having to interfere. Tris Brimble recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Leroy Archer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Karl Amos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kingswear fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Amos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Kingswear's Leroy Archer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zane Colley. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. Karl Amos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zane Colley having to interfere. Kristian Fearns hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Amos in the 78th minute of play forced Hurst Green's goalkeeper Zane Colley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Karl Amos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 93 minutes, Karl Amos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingswear's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Amos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zane Colley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Amos, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Kingswear played a much better game than Hurst Green and deserved their victory. The Hurst Green players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
