Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alf Akins made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's zone, Alf Akins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wayne Winterbine came out of the goal and Alf Akins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grant Davies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guy Baum kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Greenwich's Alf Akins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Greenwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashley Joy to maneuver through the defense. Wayne Winterbine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grant Davies in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Niall Colton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC booed when Greenwich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Davies didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Grant Davies managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greenwich's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant Davies was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wayne Winterbine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alf Akins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's goalkeeper Wayne Winterbine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Niall Colton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niall Colton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niall Colton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Pritchard having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Jake Hitchcock got a free kick in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's goalkeeper Wayne Winterbine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grant Davies. Johnathan Pritchard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niall Colton in the 34th minute of play. Jake Hitchcock kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Alf Akins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Wayne Winterbine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnathan Pritchard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toby Dickner, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Grant Davies managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greenwich's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant Davies was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wayne Winterbine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute, Grant Davies got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toby Dickner was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, Grant Davies made a precise shot to the right of Wayne Winterbine. Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 64th minute of the match, Toby Dickner tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Johnathan Pritchard saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th minute Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC were awarded a corner. Laurence Harper went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's corner Niall Colton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Johnathan Pritchard quite easily take care of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Toby Dickner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johnathan Pritchard, 3-1. Wayne Winterbine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Akins in the 81st minute of the match. Nial Pelc kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Alf Akins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenwich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Akins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Ashley Joy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wayne Winterbine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jake Hitchcock came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jake Hitchcock couldn't finish the play. Jake Hitchcock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnathan Pritchard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Greenwich's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
