Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Toby Dickner came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toby Dickner couldn't finish the play. If Niall Colton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chesney Courtney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Winterbine having to interfere. Jerry Storry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Wayne Winterbine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chesney Courtney, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Chesney Courtney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wayne Winterbine. Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chesney Courtney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Niall Colton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Zane Colley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wayne Winterbine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Storry in the 24th minute of the match. Jerry Storry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Jake Hitchcock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toby Dickner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Hurst Green getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lloyd Sutcliffe hit a great ball. Chesney Courtney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wayne Winterbine having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerry Storry in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wayne Winterbine saved Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC from getting behind. Kristian Fearns hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC's Laurence Harper couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hurst Green. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hurst Green's goalkeeper Zane Colley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Jerry Storry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hurst Green's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Storry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Guy Baum hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerry Storry to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hurst Green's goalkeeper Zane Colley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute Jerry Elvins suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 67 played minutes Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC got a freekick which was hit by Guy Baum. After recieving a nice pass, Hurst Green's Lee Rawson tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jake Hitchcock's late challenge caught a Hurst Green's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jake Hitchcock helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Snailbeach and Stiperstones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jake Hitchcock to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niall Colton in the 73rd minute of play forced Hurst Green's goalkeeper Zane Colley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Niall Colton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zane Colley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niall Colton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Zane Colley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hurst Green's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
