Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stu Woodcock got the match started through his kick off. Frank McCunnie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zak Worrall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Noel Styles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Sullivan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Sullivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Noel Styles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Stu Woodcock took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Zaq Wittingham to make any attempt to save it. Frank McCunnie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Styles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. ESCOLI's Zaq Wittingham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stu Woodcock in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Patrick Sullivan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noel Styles was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Sullivan in the 29th minute of play forced Cheshunt's goalkeeper Noel Styles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes, Eddie Elvins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESCOLI and the Cheshunt players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in ESCOLI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! 39 minutes into the match, ESCOLI's goalkeeper Zaq Wittingham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blair Boston. In the 40th minute, Stu Woodcock fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zaq Wittingham, passed just outside the right post. After 42 minutes, Frank McCunnie made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cheshunt's Noel Styles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Cheshunt's zone, Patrick Sullivan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Styles came out of the goal and Patrick Sullivan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Sullivan in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Styles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank McCunnie to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank McCunnie in the 53rd minute of play forced Cheshunt's goalkeeper Noel Styles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Sullivan got free with Noel Styles in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blair Boston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Zaq Wittingham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Styles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Sullivan in the 71st minute of the match. If Patrick Sullivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes ESCOLI got a freekick which was hit by Charles Jepson. Patrick Sullivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Noel Styles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Frank McCunnie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESCOLI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank McCunnie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cheshunt support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
