Daryl Symons's late challenge caught a Brazil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 12th minute Tosh Harris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil Wedlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basil Wedlock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Bowland, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Basil Wedlock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tosh Harris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basil Wedlock was a little too slow when Oscar Bowland got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 5-0. Brazil's Basil Wedlock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Brazil from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damion Towler made a kick off. In the 55th minute Casey Gilchrist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil Wedlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Akins in the 58th minute of play forced Flash of the Blade's goalkeeper Des Bryant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Akins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Des Bryant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Grant Akinss short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Des Bryant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
