Brett Truscott started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shawn Bettney in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charlie Oatway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shawn Bettney scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charlie Oatway, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jamie Gulliver hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Jason Forrest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Pirroni-cum-Moze City booed when Canvey Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Hinshelwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Pirroni-cum-Moze City's Shawn Bettney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charlie Oatway made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Lance Swanson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canvey Island's supporters rose to their feet, but Lance Swanson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephen Devine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andre Cousins charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andre Cousins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Canvey Island got a freekick which was hit by Andre Cousins. 25 minutes into the game, Jay Porter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirroni-cum-Moze City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canvey Island the free kick. Jay Porter hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Gavin Patton, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Shawn Bettney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 30 minutes, Lance Swanson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canvey Island and the Pirroni-cum-Moze City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lance Swanson hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Pirroni-cum-Moze City's Johnathon Eglington broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Andre Cousins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Shawn Bettney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Canvey Island got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Hinshelwood. Charlie Oatway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Bettney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Canvey Island players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pirroni-cum-Moze City were winning 0-2.

Jamie Gulliver hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Pirroni-cum-Moze City's Stephen Devine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Truscott in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Canvey Island's Charlie Oatway got control of the ball when Jason Forrest tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 62 played minutes Canvey Island got a freekick which was hit by Andy Gilchrist. When Jason Forrest came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Pirroni-cum-Moze City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Forrest couldn't finish the play. Jason Forrest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Oatway having to interfere. Andre Cousins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Devine having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Pirroni-cum-Moze City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Caine to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Canvey Island's Gavin Patton tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Pirroni-cum-Moze City booed when Canvey Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Gilchrist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charlie Oatway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shawn Bettney in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Jason Forrest got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jason Forrest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Oatway having to interfere. The Pirroni-cum-Moze City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
