Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bedlington's Stevie Soussan got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chip Warner in the 9th minute of play forced Canvey Island's goalkeeper Charlie Oatway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stevie Soussan kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Charlie Oatway made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stevie Soussan in the 15th minute. If Stevie Soussan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Canvey Island getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Lance Swanson hit a great ball. Charlie Oatway came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Bedlington's Stevie Soussan. But to his dismay, Stevie Soussan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Brett Truscott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Leroy Seagrave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Den Bishop fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bedlington's protests and gave Den Bishop a yellow card for diving instead. Den Bishop kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Chip Warner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Gilchrist hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Bedlington's Chip Warner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Andre Cousins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Leroy Seagrave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chip Warner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charlie Oatway having to make a save. Chip Warner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Oatway having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chip Warner to make the kick off. The corner led Bedlington's Curtis Meade to fire away a dangerous shot which Charlie Oatway despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chip Warner in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charlie Oatway saved Canvey Island from getting behind. Chip Warner got in the 62nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Charlie Oatway handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chip Warner in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charlie Oatway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andre Cousins struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Leroy Seagrave didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canvey Island. Stevie Soussan took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charlie Oatway. Charlie Oatway dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 79thth minute of the game Chip Warner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canvey Island's Charlie Oatway was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stevie Soussan scored 5-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charlie Oatway, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Charlie Oatway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stevie Soussan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 88 minutes, Stevie Soussan made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Canvey Island's Charlie Oatway tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Chip Warner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute, one of Canvey Island:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canvey Island. Curtis Meade walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Andy Gilchrist's late challenge caught a Bedlington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andy Gilchrist helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Canvey Island's Andy Gilchrist got a free kick in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bedlington had played much better football throughout.
