Spectators: 7604 (Terracing: 5704, Seating: 1749, VIP seats: 151) Flash of the Blade's Oscar Bowland started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Flash of the Blade's Oscar Bowland in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canvey Island's goalie prevented a goal. 5 minutes into the game, Andy Gilchrist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canvey Island's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flash of the Blade the free kick. Canvey Island's Charlie Oatway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Bowland in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Oscar Bowland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Oatway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Bowland took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charlie Oatway. Charlie Oatway dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 13th minute, Flash of the Blade's Oscar Bowland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Charlie Oatway made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Tosh Harris sent off a good shot on target. Canvey Island's Andre Cousins got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charlie Oatway stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Bowland's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Charlie Oatway made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Bowland in the 37th minute. Oscar Bowland who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Charlie Oatway when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Charlie Oatway managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Flash of the Blade's Oscar Bowland fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 45 minutes, Lance Swanson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canvey Island and the Flash of the Blade players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lance Swanson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Flash of the Blade made a substitution. Damion Towler replaced Oscar Bowland. Flash of the Blade's Des Bryant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Truscott in the 54th minute of play. Des Bryant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brett Truscott in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damion Towler in the 60th minute of play forced Canvey Island's goalkeeper Charlie Oatway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlie Oatway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tosh Harris in the 63rd minute of the match. Flash of the Blade's Casey Gilchrist got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flash of the Blade's Casey Gilchrist got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Flash of the Blade's Damion Towler in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Canvey Island's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damion Towler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 75thth minute of the game Damion Towler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canvey Island's Charlie Oatway was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damion Towler in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charlie Oatway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Canvey Island's Charlie Oatway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Gilchrist in the 79th minute of play. Casey Gilchrist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Tosh Harris left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flash of the Blade fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Brett Truscott charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brett Truscott the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brett Truscott kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daryl Symons during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Flash of the Blade players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
