Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adrian Steele kicked off to start the match. With an all-out effort, Balsall Common's Des Bryant threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adrian Steele, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wes Stockley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Gilchrist in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Oscar Bowland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flash of the Blade fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Oscar Bowland sped through Balsall Common's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wes Stockley. In the 25th match minute, Balsall Common was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Greenfield to maneuver through the defense. Flash of the Blade's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Adrian Steele 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 35th minute, Oscar Bowland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wes Stockley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Bowland's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The supporters of Balsall Common booed when Flash of the Blade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alistair Hartley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Flash of the Blade's Damion Towler was substituted for Oscar Bowland. In the 56th minute, Freddie Chalk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Flash of the Blade fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Flash of the Blade's Damion Towler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61st minute, Tosh Harris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wes Stockley was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Damion Towler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Wes Stockley skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Damion Towler hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Des Bryant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Chalk in the 78th minute of play. Wes Stockley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tosh Harris in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Adrian Steele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flash of the Blade's Des Bryant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Balsall Common getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Johnathan Short hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damion Towler got free with Wes Stockley in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Flash of the Blade could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Balsall Common throughout the match.
