Rueben Mawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ozzy Willetts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nial Bellamy charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nial Bellamy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nial Bellamy hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Neville in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ozzy Willetts saved R10 Ashurst from getting behind. Les Wishart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Gamble in the 14th minute of play forced Nottingham Drillerz's goalkeeper Zack Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zack Gough went to the wrong direction when Edward Dale was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Les Wishart succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Zack Gough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nial Bellamy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zack Gough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Allan Powell went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 32nd match minute, Nottingham Drillerz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Crouch to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Allan Powell managed to get in a good position for a shot. R10 Ashurst's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Powell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zack Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rueben Mawson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Ozzy Willetts skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joe Froggatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ozzy Willetts having to interfere. Rueben Mawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. R10 Ashurst's Ozzy Willetts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save R10 Ashurst from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Les Wishart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, R10 Ashurst's Zack Gough threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Les Wishart, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 57 minutes into the match, R10 Ashurst's goal looked a bit too open when Joe Froggatt came free, but Ozzy Willetts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zack Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Les Wishart, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Rueben Mawson sped through R10 Ashurst's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ozzy Willetts. Nottingham Drillerz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Rick Gamble scored to the left of an out of position Zack Gough, making the score, 1-3. Allan Powell came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zack Gough could save by the left post. Nottingham Drillerz's Zack Gough proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Nottingham Drillerz from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute, Conan Easton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, Joe Froggatt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Ozzy Willetts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ozzy Willetts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rueben Mawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The R10 Ashurst supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing R10 Ashurst would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
