Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Les Wishart started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lee Milburn in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ozzy Willetts saved R10 Ashurst from getting behind. The supporters of R10 Ashurst booed when Cereal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denzil Newman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When R10 Ashurst's Les Wishart in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cereal FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 11th play minute Allan Powell came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eddy Scrivener. 1-0. Eddy Scrivener made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Powell in the 15th minute. A hard shot 18 in the game by Allan Powell from a close distance when the talented Eddy Scrivener managed to make a qualified save. Cereal FC's players were relieved. Lee Milburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of R10 Ashurst booed when Cereal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denzil Newman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cereal FC's Eddy Scrivener proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Cereal FC from getting a goal against them. Trevor Burton charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trevor Burton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Allan Powell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Eddy Scrivener made a huge save. Trevor Burton kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Trevor Burton hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Cereal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Les Wishart came free, but Eddy Scrivener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Scrivener made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Les Wishart in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lee Milburn was the one to do the kick off. Rick Gamble scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eddy Scrivener, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd minute, Denzil Newman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eddy Scrivener stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Les Wishart's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Powell in the 71st minute of play forced Cereal FC's goalkeeper Eddy Scrivener to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Cereal FC got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Friebe. A collision led to R10 Ashurst getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Alex Lister hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Cereal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Les Wishart came free, but Eddy Scrivener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Trevor Burton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eddy Scrivener took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Powell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Les Wishart struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Eddy Scrivener didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for R10 Ashurst. 94 minutes into the game, Allan Powell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Eddy Scrivener was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The R10 Ashurst fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cereal FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
