The audience thought a goal was coming when Joe Froggatt got free with Eddy Scrivener in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lee Milburn to strike the kick off in the second half. Trevor Burton kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Joshua Parkin's late challenge caught a Nottingham Drillerz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Nottingham Drillerz booed when Cereal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trevor Burton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Nottingham Drillerz's Peter Neville sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eddy Scrivener narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Cereal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Duff came free, but Eddy Scrivener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Neville scored 3-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eddy Scrivener, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
