After 3 minutes, Peter Bray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bath and the F.C.Munchen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Bath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Bray to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Bath's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Chivers came free, but Jerome Botham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Bath's Jerome Botham got control of the ball when Damon Burkinshaw tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 10 played minutes F.C.Munchen got a freekick which was hit by Joey Shakespeare. If Kurt Chivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Keanu Rathmell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bath's supporters rose to their feet, but Keanu Rathmell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Sedgemore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keanu Rathmell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sean Sedgemore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keanu Rathmell struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Sean Sedgemore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bath. A collision led to Bath getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gareth Ellerton hit a great ball. Sean Sedgemore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orson Callery in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Chivers in the 33rd minute of play forced Bath's goalkeeper Jerome Botham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gareth Ellerton was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. Orson Callery struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Sean Sedgemore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bath. Bath's Jerome Botham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Bath from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Bath's Orson Callery got a free kick in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orson Callery made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Orson Callery got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shawn Broadbent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sean Sedgemore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, F.C.Munchen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Willmott to maneuver through the defense. If Orson Callery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 minutes, Damon Burkinshaw made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bath's Jerome Botham tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orson Callery in the 66th minute of play forced F.C.Munchen's goalkeeper Sean Sedgemore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Orson Callery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orson Callery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Shawn Broadbent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grant Carr, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 84th match minute, Bath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Broadbent to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, F.C.Munchen could leave the field as winners, despite Bath having more of the ball for most of the match.
