The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddy Ashton during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kurt Chivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damon Burkinshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Kurt Chivers notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Long Hanborough's Victor Key. Victor Key was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damon Chipperfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sean Sedgemore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C.Munchen's Sean Sedgemore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save F.C.Munchen from getting a goal against them. If Kurt Chivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kurt Chivers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Key read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Paddy Allwright's late challenge caught a F.C.Munchen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paddy Allwright helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Paddy Allwright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, F.C.Munchen's Sean Sedgemore got control of the ball when Ricky Dowdall tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Damon Chipperfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, F.C.Munchen's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Chipperfield came free, but Sean Sedgemore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Key showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damon Burkinshaw in the 47th minute of the match. Freddy Ashton kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damon Chipperfield to strike the kick off in the second half. Glyn Bedford kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, F.C.Munchen's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Chipperfield came free, but Sean Sedgemore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Damon Chipperfield cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sean Sedgemore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sean Sedgemore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damon Chipperfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Damon Chipperfield came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Long Hanborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damon Chipperfield couldn't finish the play. Jeff Walters charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeff Walters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Long Hanborough's Jeff Walters got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, F.C.Munchen's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Chipperfield came free, but Sean Sedgemore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damon Burkinshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Key having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Chivers in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Key prevented the ball from getting in the gole. F.C.Munchen's Sean Sedgemore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Dowdall in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Munchen's zone, Damon Chipperfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean Sedgemore came out of the goal and Damon Chipperfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. F.C.Munchen's Sean Sedgemore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Chipperfield in the 89th minute of play. After 90 played minutes F.C.Munchen got a freekick which was hit by Lance Fitter. Ricky Dowdall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the F.C.Munchen defense, Damon Chipperfield kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sean Sedgemore. The F.C.Munchen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sean Sedgemore should have stopped the shot. After 96 minutes, Leo Welch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Long Hanborough and the F.C.Munchen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leo Welch hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Long Hanborough had won after a very even match.
