Spectators: 7628 (Terracing: 5722, Seating: 1754, VIP seats: 152) Keanu Rathmell started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. John Paul Paterson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jerome Botham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruce Nailor in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerome Botham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 8 played minutes Bath got a freekick which was hit by Shawn Broadbent. After 9 played minutes, Hawkcombe's Kasey Butterfield shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jerome Botham came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hawkcombe reached it. Jerome Botham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Paul Paterson's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Shawn Broadbent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Bath's goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Nailor came free, but Jerome Botham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerome Botham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Paul Paterson in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hawkcombe's zone, Keanu Rathmell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm McCunnie came out of the goal and Keanu Rathmell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Orson Callery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bath's supporters rose to their feet, but Orson Callery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm McCunnie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute of the match Don Bilton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerome Botham showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jerome Botham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Paul Paterson's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Paul Paterson was the one to do the kick off. Ashley Charie charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ashley Charie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ashley Charie hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Derek Weston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute John Paul Paterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Botham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bath getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lance Sawyer hit a great ball. Jerome Botham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Paul Paterson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malcolm McCunnie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orson Callery's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Bruce Nailor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kasey Butterfield hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Bruce Nailor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Botham having to interfere. Bruce Nailor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Jerome Botham made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, Bath's goal looked a bit too open when John Paul Paterson came free, but Jerome Botham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Bath's Jerome Botham got control of the ball when John Paul Paterson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Bath defense, John Paul Paterson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerome Botham. The Bath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerome Botham should have stopped the shot. Jerome Botham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Paul Paterson in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Bath's goalkeeper Jerome Botham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Nailor. Hawkcombe played a much better game than Bath and deserved their victory. The Bath players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
