The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Russ Deaconsfield got free with Brendon Baxter in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Jonny Quinn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, THE FLAME OF DESTINY's Syd Thompson got a free kick in the 14th minute. Bruh's Beinn Bibby couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for THE FLAME OF DESTINY. Russ Deaconsfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Brendon Baxter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruh's Robbie Pointon got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Russ Deaconsfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Baxter having to interfere. If Russ Deaconsfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruh's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Beinn Bibby in the 39th minute. Russ Deaconsfield scored 1-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brendon Baxter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mick Routledge was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of THE FLAME OF DESTINY booed when Bruh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Ricketts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonny Quinn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Freddy Downes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendon Baxter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Russ Deaconsfield's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Brendon Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Pointon in the 65th minute of play. Brendon Baxter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russ Deaconsfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Robbie Pointon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brendon Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Russ Deaconsfield in the 72nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Dan Kitchen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. THE FLAME OF DESTINY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bruh the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Dan Kitchen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in THE FLAME OF DESTINY's zone, Russ Deaconsfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendon Baxter came out of the goal and Russ Deaconsfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brendon Baxter came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Bruh's Russ Deaconsfield. But to his dismay, Russ Deaconsfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Russ Deaconsfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Russ Deaconsfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie Pointon in the 90th minute of play forced THE FLAME OF DESTINY's goalkeeper Brendon Baxter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendon Baxter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Griggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Robbie Pointon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Rouse was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, one of Bruh:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the referee ended the match the Bruh players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
