Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tommy Gerrard made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Charlbury's Romeo Davies got control of the ball when Nigel Hilton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Charlbury's Romeo Davies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Gerrard in the 7th minute of play. Derek Croxford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Henry in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Tommy Gerrard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc.Piki1one's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Gerrard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Davies breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nigel Hilton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Davies having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Jo Lovell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charlbury and the Fc.Piki1one players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Jo Lovell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Charlbury defense, Tommy Gerrard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Davies. The Charlbury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Davies should have stopped the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Charlbury's Sid Lumb sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Derek Croxford narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tommy Gerrard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Robbie Pointon from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Romeo Davies's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Romeo Davies didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sid Lumb made a kick off. Tommy Gerrard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeo Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Gerrard in the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Charlbury's zone, Nigel Hilton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Davies came out of the goal and Nigel Hilton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeo Davies took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Gerrard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Nigel Hilton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Davies was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 83 minutes into the game, Felix Dumpleton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc.Piki1one's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlbury the free kick. After a rather tough play, Charlbury's Denny Henry got a free kick in the 84th minute. Tommy Gerrard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nigel Hilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Curtis hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Fc.Piki1one players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
