In the 12th minute Cody Harland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Fairbank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John-Paul Ellis charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John-Paul Ellis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Neil Christie's late challenge caught a Teddykanto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neil Christie helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Teddykanto booed when No Name Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Wilson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendon Lee-Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, No Name Boys's Colin Wilson got a free kick in the 40th minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Brendon Lee-Barrett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teddykanto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendon Lee-Barrett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brendon Lee-Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half No Name Boys were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jez Goodall to make the kick off. If Cody Harland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jez Goodall in the 61st minute of play forced No Name Boys's goalkeeper Charles Toulson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendon Lee-Barrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Charles Toulson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes No Name Boys got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Godsall. In the 75th minute, Jez Goodall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Toulson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 79th minute, Jez Goodall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jez Goodall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Charles Toulson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Kristopher Brindley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles Toulson. No Name Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristopher Brindley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a little luck, Teddykanto's Chip Fairbank got control of the ball when Terry Winehouse tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Brendon Lee-Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Blair Moss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brendon Lee-Barrett scored 3-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Toulson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
