The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Kaye got free with Özgür Kilic in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute, Francis Hilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Özgür Kilic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Copsey went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calvin Draper during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cum United's Calvin Draper got a free kick in the 35th minute. Alex Kyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francis Hilton to strike the kick off in the second half. Luke Atkinson hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Kyle in the 71st minute of play forced Owlham Athletic's goalkeeper Özgür Kilic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, Owlham Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graeme Ploughman to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Owlham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Copsey came free, but Özgür Kilic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Copsey's late challenge caught a Owlham Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidney Copsey helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cum United's Sidney Copsey got a free kick in the 75th minute. Lewis Gates charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis Gates the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lewis Gates hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Özgür Kilic came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Cum United's Francis Hilton. But to his dismay, Francis Hilton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Calvin Draper hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Cum United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
