Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Graham Little started the match with the kick off. When Graham Little, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Warren Nicholson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Dolton City getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Perry Burgess hit a great ball. Graham Little might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Warren Nicholson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Graham Little ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Clare in the 15th minute of play forced Chuffing Hell City's goalkeeper Warren Nicholson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andre Newland hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Dolton City booed when Chuffing Hell City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Newland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chuffing Hell City's Warren Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Clare in the 24th minute of play. If Reggie Waple had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graham Little's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Warren Nicholson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Chuffing Hell City's goal looked a bit too open when Graham Little came free, but Warren Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Graham Little in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Warren Nicholson saved Chuffing Hell City from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, Andrew Clare had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Warren Nicholson. Chuffing Hell City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew Clare was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 42nd minute Andrew Clare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warren Nicholson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Graham Little sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reggie Waple was the one to do the kick off. Jonathon Mansell hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Andrew Clare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Warren Nicholson made a huge save. After having played for 60 minutes, Andrew Clare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dolton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrew Clare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrew Clare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Jonathon Mansell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th play minute Andrew Clare came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Warren Nicholson. 0-2. When Jonathon Mansell fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chuffing Hell City's protests and gave Jonathon Mansell a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathon Mansell kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Andrew Clare recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 played minutes Chuffing Hell City got a freekick which was hit by Richie Atherton. Warren Nicholson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alfred Guest. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Graham Little took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Warren Nicholson to make any attempt to save it. Reggie Waple struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Kirk McCormick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chuffing Hell City. Andrew Clare who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Warren Nicholson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Warren Nicholson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graham Little, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Chuffing Hell City's Reggie Waple got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chuffing Hell City's goalkeeper Warren Nicholson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dolton City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
