After 18 minutes, Ritchie Peacock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fanboy Utd and the Dolton City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Orson Daly didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Dolton City's Kirk McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Garner in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurence Garner in the 47th minute of play forced Dolton City's goalkeeper Kirk McCormick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
