Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stewart Stayton took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cowplain's Rodd Shotton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelvin Dolby in the 4th minute of play. Rodd Shotton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stewart Stayton went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Kelvin Dolby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perivale AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kelvin Dolby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodd Shotton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Perivale AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Preston came free, but Rex Moorhouse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Perivale AFC's Stewart Stayton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodd Shotton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Stewart Stayton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Perivale AFC's Kelvin Dolby ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodd Shotton. Rodd Shotton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stewart Stayton got free with Rodd Shotton in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Stewart Stayton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cowplain's zone, Anthony Darling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodd Shotton came out of the goal and Anthony Darling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Hugh Cambridge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugh Cambridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Shotton having to interfere. Hugh Cambridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rodd Shotton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stewart Stayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rodd Shotton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Stewart Stayton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodd Shotton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Perivale AFC's Stewart Stayton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodd Shotton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Stewart Stayton sped through Cowplain's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodd Shotton. If Stewart Stayton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Perivale AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hugh Cambridge. A collision led to Cowplain getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Joshua Dawson hit a great ball. If Stewart Stayton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute Anthony Darling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodd Shotton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
