With an extended leg and a bit of luck Warren Kent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Brompton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Lincoln came free, but Warren Kent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reuben Tomlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Mallaby, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Warren Kent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trevor Bland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Trevor Bland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Warren Kent was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After 31 played minutes Harrow got a freekick which was hit by Danny Mayfield. The Brompton FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Harrow were winning 1-3.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harrow reached it. Trevor Bland struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Warren Kent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harrow. When Rhys Evans fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harrow's protests and gave Rhys Evans a yellow card for diving instead. Harrow's supporters rose to their feet, but Andre Lincoln was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warren Kent breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Vinnie Blythe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reuben Tomlin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. The Brompton FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Harrow's performance. The match ended with a win for Harrow.
