The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Dream Team's Dale Frost got a free kick in the 17th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Felix Fenton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brompton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Fenton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Dream Team getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Rowan Gower hit a great ball. Felix Fenton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Liam Holdroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dream Team's zone, Vinnie Blythe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liam Holdroyd came out of the goal and Vinnie Blythe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Freddie Pearce came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Dream Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Pearce couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Brompton FC booed when Dream Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddie Pearce didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Kev Connell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brompton FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dream Team the free kick. Edward Airton charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edward Airton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dale Frost to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Dale Frost dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Warren Kent, 1-3. In the 56th minute Felix Fenton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Holdroyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iain Sawyer might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Warren Kent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iain Sawyer ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 66 minutes, Iain Sawyer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Keiran Pollard fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brompton FC's protests and gave Keiran Pollard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute of the match, Dale Frost tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Warren Kent saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dale Frost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Kent having to interfere. Dream Team's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
