Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Trevor Bland got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Joshua Dawson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Harrow's Jordan Fuller quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rodd Shotton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor Bland, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Wally Leonard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rodd Shotton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodd Shotton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhys Evans in the 10th minute of play. Harrow's Reuben Tomlin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Harrow from getting a goal against them. Dylan Shakespeare's late challenge caught a Cowplain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan Shakespeare helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Harrow's Dylan Shakespeare got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Cowplain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Davis to maneuver through the defense. Andre Lincoln fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Shotton having to interfere. Cowplain's Rodd Shotton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor Bland in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Wally Leonard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodd Shotton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Cowplain got a freekick which was hit by Marty Preston. Eric Davis struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Reuben Tomlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cowplain. In the 40th minute, Trevor Bland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodd Shotton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Eric Weedon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reuben Tomlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Davis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andre Lincoln received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rodd Shotton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Trevor Bland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodd Shotton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Harrow's Andre Lincoln got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Trevor Bland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor Bland in the 58th minute of play forced Cowplain's goalkeeper Rodd Shotton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodd Shotton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rhys Evans, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Wally Leonard notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cowplain's Rodd Shotton. Rodd Shotton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the last second Rodd Shotton throw himself and got hold of the ball when Trevor Bland in the 73rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 76th minute Rhys Evans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodd Shotton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodd Shotton came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Harrow's Rhys Evans. But to his dismay, Rhys Evans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. A hard shot 84 in the game by Trevor Bland from a close distance when the talented Rodd Shotton managed to make a qualified save. Cowplain's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Harrow's Kristian Cousins slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodd Shotton. That made the score 0-5 after 87 minutes of play. Trevor Blands short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Rodd Shotton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rodd Shotton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhys Evans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Harrow could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cowplain throughout the match.
