Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brompton FC's Vinnie Blythe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stewart Stayton struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Warren Kent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perivale AFC. Warren Kent made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Stewart Stayton sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the match, Perivale AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Fenton came free, but Rex Moorhouse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kelvin Dolby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Perivale AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Mallaby came free, but Rex Moorhouse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Felix Fenton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rex Moorhouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Stewart Stayton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Warren Kent. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Stewart Stayton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 28th playminute. Perivale AFC's Hugh Cambridge quite brazenly broke a throw-in by David Barratt, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Perivale AFC's Stewart Stayton got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugh Cambridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Kent having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Brompton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinnie Blythe to maneuver through the defense. Stewart Stayton might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Warren Kent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stewart Stayton ran back to his position shaking his head. Stewart Stayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Warren Kent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stewart Stayton to strike the kick off in the second half. Stewart Stayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Warren Kent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Brompton FC's zone, Stewart Stayton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Warren Kent came out of the goal and Stewart Stayton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Anthony Darling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stewart Stayton took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Warren Kent. Warren Kent dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Stayton in the 68th minute of play forced Brompton FC's goalkeeper Warren Kent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stewart Stayton came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Perivale AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stewart Stayton couldn't finish the play. If Hugh Cambridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Huxtable hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Rex Moorhouse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinnie Blythe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stewart Stayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Warren Kent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Brompton FC defense, Stewart Stayton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Warren Kent. The Brompton FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Warren Kent should have stopped the shot. If Kelvin Dolby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd match minute, Brompton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Barratt to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Perivale AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
