Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ash Winstanley made the kick off which started today's match. Zackary Preston made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Bill Woodcock sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th match minute, Hoddesdon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Woolford to maneuver through the defense. Hoddesdon AFC's Zackary Preston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Hoddesdon AFC from getting a goal against them. After 14 played minutes Birmingham FC got a freekick which was hit by Huey Mimms. After a defensive mix-up in Hoddesdon AFC's zone, Silvester Golding stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Preston came out of the goal and Silvester Golding tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Frankie Akins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scott Ricketts charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Scott Ricketts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Birmingham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Ricketts to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes, Hoddesdon AFC's Jonathon Caton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romeo Browning came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hoddesdon AFC reached it. When Bill Woodcock came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Birmingham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bill Woodcock couldn't finish the play. Silvester Golding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary Preston having to interfere. The supporters of Hoddesdon AFC booed when Birmingham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brynn Chapman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frankie Akins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Browning having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Ash Winstanley took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Romeo Browning to make any attempt to save it. Silvester Golding scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zackary Preston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pierre Barat kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Birmingham FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frankie Akins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Bill Woodcock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zackary Preston was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Ash Winstanley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frankie Akinss short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Romeo Browning to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 92 played minutes Birmingham FC got a freekick which was hit by Scott Ricketts. Frankie Akins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Browning read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Scott Ricketts kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Romeo Browning was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jonathon Caton. Ash Winstanley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Romeo Browning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Birmingham FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hoddesdon AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
