It was beautiful to see Newbiggin FC's Sebastien Rush in action when he in the 13th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 17th minute, Sebastien Rush got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justin Hilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bill Woodcock in the 18th minute of the match. Sebastien Rush came free in the 23rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Romeo Browning, but to the joy of Birmingham FC's supporters the ball went over. Justin Hilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvester Golding in the 28th minute of play. Jeremy Bonham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvester Golding made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conal Jepson during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Newbiggin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conal Jepson to maneuver through the defense. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Birmingham FC reached it. Bill Woodcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Newbiggin FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
