The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Arsenal's Rodney Peacock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martyn Cheeseman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arsenal's Jonathon Van Der Hoorn got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martyn Cheeseman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathon Van Der Hoorn in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Denzil Bensley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyn Cheeseman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenal's Stefan Proctor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mickey Wardman in the 15th minute of play. Martyn Cheeseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodney Peacock in the 19th minute of the match. Rodney Peacock didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 34th minute. Arsenal's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Mickey Wardman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geddington City's supporters rose to their feet, but Mickey Wardman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Proctor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denzil Bensley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Martyn Cheeseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Mickey Wardman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Proctor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geddington City were furious when Glen Holmes was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Geddington City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Arsenal:s goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denzil Bettinson to make the kick off. Jonathon Van Der Hoorn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Cheeseman having to interfere. Martyn Cheeseman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathon Van Der Hoorn, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Arsenal's Vinnie Purkiss in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Geddington City's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathon Van Der Hoorn in the 60th minute of play forced Geddington City's goalkeeper Martyn Cheeseman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Denzil Bensley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geddington City the free kick. In the 68th minute, Denzil Bensley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Austen Ferdinand took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stefan Proctor. Arsenal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Austen Hutchinson hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Martyn Cheeseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodney Peacock in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Denzil Bensley notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Geddington City's Martyn Cheeseman. Martyn Cheeseman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathon Van Der Hoorn in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martyn Cheeseman saved Geddington City from getting behind. Martyn Cheeseman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodney Peacock's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute, Denzil Bensley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Arsenal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
