Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Hoddesdon AFC's zone, Marty Pyrah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Preston came out of the goal and Marty Pyrah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 minutes, Ash Winstanley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoddesdon AFC and the Flushing players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Flushing booed when Hoddesdon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ash Winstanley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frankie Akins in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loyd Bamford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hoddesdon AFC's Zackary Preston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Hoddesdon AFC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 27 minutes, Frankie Akins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoddesdon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frankie Akins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Loyd Bamford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ash Winstanley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marty Pyrah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zackary Preston having to make a save. Verne Cook charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Verne Cook the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Flushing got a freekick which was hit by Verne Cook. After 45 minutes of play, Flushing's Marty Pyrah made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zackary Preston was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Ash Winstanley made the kick off in the second half. Flushing's Loyd Bamford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Flushing from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damon Osbourne in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Zackary Preston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Pyrah in the 61st minute of play. Zackary Preston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damon Osbourne's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute, Marty Pyrah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damon Osbourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zackary Preston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damon Osbourne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ash Winstanley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loyd Bamford having to interfere. Ash Winstanley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marty Pyrah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hoddesdon AFC's Zackary Preston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Osbourne in the 96th minute of play. Flushing's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
