After 8 minutes, Chip Lineker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geddington City and the KS Barkas Tolkmicko players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chip Lineker hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Geddington City's goal looked a bit too open when Jerome Broadhead came free, but Martyn Cheeseman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickey Wardman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kyle Colley's late challenge caught a Geddington City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kyle Colley helped the player get up and apologised. Austen Ferdinand took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Shane Hudson. KS Barkas Tolkmicko's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zackary Bower kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Austen Ferdinand sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KS Barkas Tolkmicko's Shane Hudson didn't even have to move. In the 32nd minute, KS Barkas Tolkmicko's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gwyn Burton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KS Barkas Tolkmicko! In the 37th minute, Geddington City got a penalty, and Austen Ferdinand placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. 41 minutes into the match, Geddington City's Denzil Bettinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shane Hudson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Crispin Plummer hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Denzil Bettinson made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Geddington City's goalkeeper Martyn Cheeseman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerome Broadhead. If John-Paul Bedford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John-Paul Bedford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Martyn Cheeseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John-Paul Bedford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Geddington City got a freekick which was hit by Mickey Wardman. Martyn Cheeseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John-Paul Bedford in the 63rd minute of the match. Austen Hutchinson kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Denzil Bettinson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Shane Hudson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in KS Barkas Tolkmicko's zone, Denzil Bettinson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shane Hudson came out of the goal and Denzil Bettinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 74th minute of the match Kyle Colley completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kyle Colley a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to KS Barkas Tolkmicko getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kyle Colley hit a great ball. Denzil Bettinson struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Shane Hudson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geddington City. If Jerome Broadhead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denzil Bettinson scored 4-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shane Hudson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Geddington City's Mickey Wardman got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Gwyn Burton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geddington City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
