Larry Parslow was slow to take the kick. During this time Arsenal's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Larry Parslow got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zackary Preston quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Denzil Bensley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary Preston having to interfere. Zackary Preston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinnie Purkiss's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When Rodney Peacock came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. The tension between the Hoddesdon AFC and the Arsenal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Hoddesdon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carl Lane. In the 72nd minute, Denzil Bensley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jonathon Van Der Hoorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zackary Preston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orson Hudson, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 89thth minute of the game Rodney Peacock who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hoddesdon AFC's Zackary Preston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zackary Preston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orson Hudson in the 90th minute of play. Jonathon Van Der Hoorns short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Zackary Preston to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rodney Peacock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Hoddesdon AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arsenal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
