Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mickey Wardman kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Denzil Bettinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 8 played minutes Flushing got a freekick which was hit by Vinnie Harris. If Denzil Bettinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes Geddington City got a freekick which was hit by Chip Lineker. Martyn Cheeseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damon Osbourne in the 17th minute of play. Damon Osbourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chip Lineker hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Jordan Appleton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Geddington City's Martyn Cheeseman didn't even have to move. Mickey Wardman scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loyd Bamford, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damon Osbourne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 minutes of play, Flushing's Marty Pyrah made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martyn Cheeseman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mickey Wardman in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loyd Bamford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martyn Cheeseman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damon Osbourne went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute, Austen Hutchinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Mickey Wardman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damon Osbourne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Geddington City booed when Flushing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verne Cook didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Damon Osbourne kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martyn Cheeseman. That made the score 1-4 in the 59 minute of play. Denzil Bettinson kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Verne Cook got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Flushing getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Vinnie Harris hit a great ball. Damon Osbourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geddington City's goalkeeper Martyn Cheeseman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Loyd Bamford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denzil Bettinson in the 73rd minute of play. Simon Slater's late challenge caught a Geddington City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Slater helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Geddington City booed when Flushing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Slater didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Marty Pyrah notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Geddington City's Martyn Cheeseman. Martyn Cheeseman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marty Pyrah struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Martyn Cheeseman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flushing. Damon Osbourne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Cheeseman having to interfere. Marty Pyrah in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Martyn Cheeseman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Flushing players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
